   Very good product, setting 1-2 its very silent. Has a big filter. SmokeStop filter is not attched. Connecting to WiFi is a bit tricky.

   Have been using it daily, a family member had a constant cough. Using this has completely stopped the cough!! Which is quite incredible.

   Has no air quality indicator which is a bit inconvenient as we do not know how well its cleaning. But as a basic air filter you cant get anything better than this for your normal sized bedroom.

   Have had this unit for two months now. The first thing that I noticed right out of the box was the quality. The unit is very solid and the wheels just glide across the floor. Noise levels are exactly as described here. The low is whisper quiet, medium is low enough to have a conversation and high is great for sleeping. This unit is in the livingroom and my cat and little dog sleep very well! I have noticed that it calms my dog who now sleeps through the night without barking for me to bring her to bed. The air quality is very noticeable. I haven’t used the wifi option, I power it on/off or raise lower the speed at the panel if needed but I run it most of the time on medium. So far I’m very pleased. I plan to get a smaller unit for my bedroom next.

   My wife is prone to coughing fits at night due to pollens and allergens in the house, dust mites and what have you. This product is amazing in that the first night of operation in my wife’s bedroom, she honestly, did not cough even once. Wow… that was amazing. To that end, the machine is like a humidifier noise wise with a fan blowing. You do not notice the fan noise when it’s on, but you sure do when it’s off. This is ‘white noise’ folks and it lulls you to sleep. Very happy with this product and I’d buy it all over again!

   I have severe allergies and will DO ANYTHING. This filter definitely has helped reduce allergens. Number 1 and 2 settings I would say are almost indiscernible , and #3 is like a room fan. TOTALLY acceptable, and I would buy another one for the other side of the house shortly. It is heavy, I have it on a set of wheels, but how can it do its job without the inside motors etc? Excellent product. Incredible packing, I think there were four boxes, like a Matryoshka Russian wooden doll.

   I have struggled most of my life with asthma and allergies and have always had an air purifier in my bedroom. I’ve been through several other air purifier brands and to be honest they have all worked about the same….I get relief (but not 100%). A friend recommended Blueair to me earlier this year and I have delayed in purchasing one. I am now happy that I waited as this product was only recently released with wifi. The instructions for connecting the air purifier to wifi are made clear, but I did give a quick call to the customer service team just to make sure I was setting everything up correctly (they were very helpful). Now that this purifier is set up and running in my room I am thrilled as to how it is working. I can absolutely tell the difference between this product and others I have had in the past. I think my favorite part of this air purifier is the ability to control via my phone. The app is very user-friendly and it allows me to access, power, and control the air purifier remotely. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I like the look, the feel, and the way it is running. It was hard for me at first to drop $400 on an air purifier—however now that it is running, (and I am feeling healthier and sleeping better) I am happy with the investment. You can’t place a cost too high on your health!! I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to purchase an air purifier.

   I’ve had a Blueair classic 200 series that I got probably 5+ years ago and have run 24 hours a day. It’s quiet even on the high setting in my opinion. From my past job, I would say it’s almost like airplane noise on high. I now added the Wi-Fi capable 480i that I just got today. It must’ve been a return. I got it “like new” for about $100 off in the original packaging, no damage for a fantastic price! It looks like it was never opened just returned so ecstatic about that! So far I’m playing with the auto mode and not sure because I like it to blow usually at medium speed all the time which you can do with but I am just seeing how the auto works. I am seeing that when I cook. It will look like the air quality is bad because of odors and come on hire for a short time, but then return to low which I feel is not as much as I like for a larger room. But it’s probably a matter of me adjusting to it. I opened my trash that I noticed a smelly odor about 15 feet away from my Blueair and the air quality went to moderate from excellent and cleaned the air of the odors and then went back to excellent. Impressed so far but I don’t know if I’ll use the Wi-Fi -it’s very easy to turn off , with holding down the Wi-Fi button and the filter button for about three seconds simultaneously. You can turn it right back on again by pressing the Wi-Fi button. What I really dislike about the Wi-Fi is it tells you you must put in your precise location in order to use all of the functions in the app and if you look at that I do not want my address and name in there and I can see everyone in my city listed that has one of these. so it looks like I probably will not be using all of the Wi-Fi functions. You can connect to Wi-Fi but you can’t use the app without your location??! Sorry I don’t need to be tracked that much! It is almost the same size as my other one but for larger rooms and the filters do look different and are a bit more expensive. But this one also has the carbon which is more expensive for the 200 series than the basic. I noticed some one said in a review that they wish the duo filters were separate, but you can vacuum them out and keep them going a little longer if you want. You can tell by the color when it’s time to exchange-it’s not quite as white and can go towards a gray ,My 200 has been flawless and I’m hoping this newer version will also. This one’s in the living room the other is in the bedroom. I don’t wake up congested when I have it in my room where I used to wake up several times a night and not be able to breathe out of at least one side. I do have a lot of allergies and there’s a lot of pollen in the air where I live now and it keeps my air “excellent“. Better for everyone including the pets! Really glad I finally bit the bullet and got a second one now that I live in a larger place , PS these are heavy metal but that’s a good thing and medical quality.

   First off, let me preface this review by saying that I’ve had three fifteen year-old 3M air purifiers that still function perfectly. I really wanted to like the Blueair air purifier; it was ranked #1 by consumer reports, and had great reviews elsewhere online. For the first couple weeks, all was well, and I was happy with the unit. Unfortunately…..it slowly developed a noise, faint at first, but grew louder and louder over the next week. “Da-da….da-da…..da-da”, over and over and over, indefinitely. Incredibly, incredibly annoying, especially when one is trying to sleep. As having worked in engineering and as an IT manager, I knew what the noise was; the bearings in the fan were going bad AFTER JUST TWO WEEKS. This is completely outrageous for an $650 air purifier, essentially consisting of no more than a fan surrounded by some metal and filters. I figured maybe it was just a case of “infant mortality”, as in maybe there was a rare manufacturing defect leading to this problem. I called blueairoutlet.com, jumped through hoops for 45 minutes, eventually getting them to send a replacement, which was to arrive in a few days, or so I thought. Weeks go by, and finally the blueairoutlet.com status page updates with “lost in transit”. Face-palm. So I call blueairoutlet.com again, jump through more hoops, and get them to send out a replacement, again. Replacement arrives in a few days. Finally. Open the box, there’s a couple pieces of slightly bent steel, which I was willing to put up with given the amount of time I’ve already invested in this debacle. Plug it in, and it makes A CONTINUOUS WHIRRING SOUND on the second speed, even more annoying than the first unit. Whhr….whrrr…whrrr…whrrr…whrrr….indefinitely. Fan bearings, again. I can’t begin to imagine what kind of half-arsed quality control Blueair has got going on, but this is absolutely insane. And to top it off, blueairoutlet.com won’t send another replacement, because the max is two replacements, and they count the unit that was lost in transit as 1/2 replacements. This has been the worst purchase I’ve ever made in three decades. Absolute garbage, especially considering the outlandish price. DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH.

    So I live in an apartment with a seven-month-old, and we bought this to make sure that he doesn’t inhale too much of the outside pollution while inside our own home. So we are very satisfied that this product does as it claims to filter out particulates in the air and provide a healthier breathing experience. Furthermore, through IFTTT features we are afforded better visibility into the air quality within our home and better integration with things such as our smart thermometer and smart locks. We will definitely purchase another model when we move into a permanent residence. Edited 2 OCT 20: I think this is a fantastic purchase still after a few months and the subscription service for filters is awesome. Be aware that there are two types of filter and they’re in different cost brackets. You’ll get what you pay for, but the double filters can be expensive. Also, I feel like the room this is in needs to be aired out for the single filter to work effectively on it’s lowest and quietest setting.
