Made and recommended by the purifier’s manufacturer, these are high quality replacements. Yes, they are expensive, but going “cheap” resulted in clogged filters and an indication within 1 month that they were not functioning. I decided that if I spent what I did for the purifier to protect me and my family, spending a little more for best filters was worth it.

I recently switched to a whole home purifier to reduce the consumables of the Blueair filters. While third party filters exist, the Blueair ones do seem to be better built and filter better. Many of the Blueair filters are designed with brushes to charge the air passing by so that they are trapped in the filter. I think there is some sort of optimization that exists.

For many years I’ve hated paying for Blue Air’s replacement filters, and I have tried alternatives.
But I need to pull cigarette smoke, odor, and (wishfully) combustion gasses out of my air. These do all that better than anything I know except hospital grade purifiers at many multiples of the price.

Fits the classic 480i perfectly. I generally try to buy OEM filters given that I want to ensure a good fit and the whole purpose of buying a high quality purifier in the first place is to be effective.
Only downside is that they are very expensive and feels like they are taking advantage of locked in users.

Blue air service is awful. The filters are exactly the same from blueairoutlet.com but blueairoutlet.com is better to deal with.

I’ve been consistently happy with my blue air machines and filters for five years.

Been using my Blue Air filter since 2001. I used the basic filter and then switched to the Dual Protection Filter last year and won’t be going back. I love it. Worth the money, yet a bit pricey for a once every 6 month replacement.
