   The pictures show a pack of three filters. Blueair air purifier requires three filters at a time. Only ONE filter was delivered! The price I paid for this one filter is more than double what’s in the local market.

   I love my Blue air classic 600 filters… the machine is made of metal. It’s powerful and it’s very quiet… and it’s still running perfectly after having it for over 10 years. I take care to wipe it down and vacuum the inside periodically…and change the filters every 6 months or sooner if they are changing color or looking very dusty. I needed to change them out much more frequently when I had cats.

   I bought off brand filters to save money and they smelled like mildew. Never again. It’s so important these filters are handled and packaged properly. Never a problem buying them from Blue Air.

   Fit perfectly! No issues to date. Because of where we live, we only have to replace our filters every two years so these are worth the investment. I was surprised when I pulled out the old filters at all the dust they had accumulated. The air cleaner and filters work well.

   Blue air, classic, dual protection filters really work. I live in a dusty prairie community, where summertime pollen and fire and wildfire smoke are a daily issue. These filters are our final level of defense after HEPA filtering all of the incoming air to our house as it circulates the, six month change interval works even under these conditions. Of note: I received very professional and thorough assistance from blueairoutlet.com when an issue issue. Issue a rose. with shipping. I especially appreciate the help because these filters are sometimes hard to get and the substitute generic types do not seem as effective, especially with smoke. Thanks

   I did a comparison between these Blueair OEM filters, Wocase filters (3rd party seller), and Lhari (another 3rd party) filters for our 680i/580i purifiers. The dimensions of these were identical. The weights were not. The Wocase weighed in the highest at 2.6 lbs, the Lhari at 1.8 lbs, and the lightest was Blueair OEM at about 1.25 lbs. The weights matter, because the tightness of the weave of the HEPA and the amount of carbon will vary. Comparing the Lhari HEPA showed that the Lhari had more folds per inch (see images) but when you pressed on the folds it was more pliable than the Wocase. That is, the Wocase HEPA was stiffer and more substantial. The number of folds in the Wocase HEPA was similar to the Blueair, but again, the Wocase was stiffer and more substantial than even the Blueair. The Wocase had a prefilter on its carbon filter (see images). Note that the carbon filter on the Wocase and the Lhari are integrated and not removable like the carbon filter on the Blueair OEM. However, the thickness of the Wocase filter is at least as wide as the Blueair (see images). I did not open the Lhari to see this, but probably it is similar. The Wocase wins the test for substantial build of these filters. It fits into our Blueair purifiers well and does a good job of sending out clean air. There is no bad odor detected from them whatsoever. They seem to be a good value for the price and we prefer them to these Blueair OEM filters.

    I had to chase the carrier around in order to have them delivered after a two-day delay already, but apart from that everything else seems OK. The filters are the real ones and they don’t smell. In the past, we have had SmokeStop filters that smelled like they were scented, but not these.

    The other regular particle filter version works great at filtering out dust. However, with this smokestop filter, it gets rid of odors and general outdoor smog that gets its way into your house. The room smells better after running it for less than an hour. Plus: it makes the unit run quieter as the carbon filter section actually acts like a sound baffle to block out some of the fan noise. Usually with the regular particle filter, even on low speed for my 650E, I can still hear a whirling fan sound. With this filter, I can hardly hear it and can leave it on low for the whole night. With the regular particle filter version, when the electronic sensor would detect VOCs (volatile organic compounds)/odor, it would kick the fan on high and it would be a long time until the odor is diffused/lessened, for the fan to slow down. With the smokestop filter, the VOC/odor gets reduced in a few minutes and the cleaner does not stay on high for long. Minus: it reduces the airflow output. The carbon filter section actually restricts airflow quite a bit, I would say more than half the airflow is reduced. However, it still does its job. And of course it costs about twice as much as the regular particle filter. In my opinion, if your blueair electronic sensor (on the 550E/650E models) detects VOCs/odors more than it detects dust, then this is the filter to get!
