   We bought this because it was easier to clean, had a slick design and was supposed to be quiet. It worked well for about a month, and then it started making this horrendous noise. Cleaning wouldn’t fix it, tried many different methods suggested in reviews and online but nothing worked. Don’t bother with this one.

   I really wanted to like this product because I was tired of buying distilled water in bulk every other week. At first it was great – easy to fill, easy to clean. But despite cleaning the filter and tank every week per the instructions, the filter ends up getting moldy and disgusting. I have three units and none of the filters lasted more than a couple months before succumbing to serious mold infestation.

   I added an UPDATE below… At first, I was so very happy with this humidifier for the bedroom. It was perfect… and then, after two months, the water pump stopped working. No water is being moved by the pump. The wick material is always dry no matter what steps are taken to reset, refill, clean, dry and refill, drain, bang on it, cuss at it, attempt the worthless customer support. CUSTOMER SUPPORT is egregiously absent for this product and like any product from BLUEAIR. Customer support is only available through their online form. The form does not include the BLUEAIR Premium Smart Humidifier: 3.5L. Customer Support does not have any other contact method.. I picked a random Bluer product to attempt a response from BlueAir. I am unhappy. BLUEAIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT>>> PLEASE RESPOND !!! Several people have been complaining about the pump failing after two months. UPDATE: I submitted an online service request for another BLUEAIR product and they did get back to me. They sent specific directions to soak in citric acid solution to dissolve any hard water build up. That was reasonable but did not change anything. Pump still does not operate even though water level is recognized. BLUEAIR will send another unit as warranty replacement. THANK YOU. I wish they would have provided the reason for the failure. It sounds like a common problem.

   Made a lot of research when I wanted a second evaporation humidifier and the one I had got discontinued. Ended up getting this one and I’m very satisfied so far (1 month in). It works well, helps me keep % to 30-40 in cold winter, easy top fill and easy to clean.

   Like all evaporation humidifier it doesn’t boost the humidity quickly, but enough to get in the comfort zone if you keep it working. The big bonus: you don’t breathe all those minerals as a white dust in the air and your place stays clean.

   The noise level is almost null. I don’t know why in my video the sound was loud, may be the mic pick up the air flow.
   As for the quality, its seems pretty solid, even though I just started using it, less than a week.
   But the person in my family I bought this humidifier for, is saying that the humidifier is not making any difference and that it is cooling the room making it pretty cold, we are in the beginning of winter.
   The water capacity is little, I have to fill it up twice a day.
   Smart…. The app doesn’t integrate with Alexa no matter how many times you try enabling the Blueair skill on the Alexa app.
   The wick all of a sudden starts drying keeping you without humidity
   However the humidifier has a thermometer in degrees celsius (very convenient) and a hygrometer too. How accurate the hygrometer is I can’t tell because I don’t own a separate hygrometer to compare the values. But from my judgment I would say not to depend on a hygrometer instead a humidifier because the hygrometer will measure the humidifier’s output humidity. It will not tell you a few meters away from the humidifier how much is the real humidity in your space.
   It is a bit difficult to fill up because the electric elements, fan and wick are all above the water tank
   So you will to take off everything just to reach for the water tank that you constantly have to refill.
   You will need lost of counter space to put the part to take the tank to the sink and back to your room
   Then putting the top back is also a chore, the holes have to fit within the opening for it to snap in
   It’s trial and error
   The screen however is very pretty and it is pretty sensitive to the touch making it of higher quality
   All in all I still like it, it is budget friendly compared to all other evaporative humidifiers out there
   It makes the room smell fresh
   I feel like it is an air purifier and a humidifier in one
   I wouldn’t return it even if I had another humidifier for the winter.
   It is quite, it doesn’t over humidify your rooms like ultrasonic ones do

   I guess it has a good balance

   I’ve been using this humidifier about 2-3x/week for about a month now, and I have somewhat mixed feeling about the product. Mostly, I use it at night in my son’s room and then I clean and dry it until the next use. Here are some of issues I have with the product: The filter is already down to 92% with 6-8 hour use, 2-3x/week for a month. It started out completely quiet at the beginning (I mean, you wouldn’t know it was on), and now it makes a buzzing sound while operating. I also noticed a few nights ago when the machine ran all night because of low humidity from our central heater, that a small about of condensation dripped down from the vents on the side of the unit causing a puddle to form under the humidifier (see picture). People made positive comments about the app, but quite a few times mine would say that my unit is “offline” even though my WiFi was working just fine for everything else in the house, and it would take me another five minutes to log out and log in and reconnect, etc. On the other hand, cleaning is pretty easy because it’s literally just the bucket at the bottom, but I always have to have a towel laid out because the filter, fan (top part of the unit, and the third interior part of the humidifier are all wet/dripping with water when I disassemble it for cleaning. I like that when the unit stops for period of time, an auto dry function kicks in which helps dry out the wet filter inside, albeit, it makes it less wet but I wouldn’t say that it “dries” the filter. I also love the fact that there is no mist coming out of the unit, so there’s no mineral film or condensation on furniture or floor surfaces.

   The humidifier did not even last us 4 months. The first 3 months we were very impressed. Humidifier worked very well, raised moisture in the room effectively, was easy to fill and clean.
   However, in 3 months it asked us to replace the wick. We ordered authentic wick from Blueland directly (which was not easily available and took a while to deliver). Then the disappointment began. The humidifier will not humidify the room. We have cleaned it, power cycled, replaced the wick, factory reset the unit per manual instructions, no change. Only runs in fan mode. For a $150 unit this is unacceptable. I would give it 0 star review if I could. Stay away from this product

   I wish I could give a zero star here. I purchased this humidifier in Jan 2025. Worked in the first 2 months then stopped pumping water. The humidifier runs without evaporating. Basically it stopped working. I tried reassembling and it worked. Then in the next a few months this kept happening and we wasted a lot of time reassembling it, replacing the filter, adjusting the sponge… it’s been on and off. Until yesterday, it officially gave up working. I can’t imagine we spent so much effort dealing with a humidifier. Before buying it, do some googling, you will see many people encountered the same issue.

    I’ve had other BlueAir products in the past so when they came out with a humidifier I was excited to try it. The setup was a breeze and I find the app well designed. The auto function has been great about turning on when the humidity is too low. My biggest complaint is removing the water tank and putting it back. It’s taken me a good 10 mins each time trying to get everything back tomorrow how it wants it. It’s not well designed. Luckily you can fill it from the top without removing the base. Another thing that has not worked for is the welcome home feature inside the app. Supposedly it will turn off and turn back on when you leave. It’s reliably turned off for me but has never turned back on.

    I had high expectations for this humidifier, as I’ve always been impressed with Blueair purifiers. Initially, it seemed promising—great design, convenient top-fill, and an easy-to-clean tank. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

    After only a month and a half of use, the humidifier completely stopped working. The fan kept running, but the water level remained unchanged, making it completely useless. I researched fixes online, tried all the suggested solutions, but nothing worked.

    For a brand known for quality, this was incredibly disappointing. Save your money and stay away from this product!
