Replacement filter for 311 model. I have several Blueair 411s and this 311, and they work well around the house. Never tried the off brand filters you can get a few dollars cheaper on blueairoutlet.com.

I recommend the 311+ but not the smaller one. I used this unit by itself in a 900 sq ft space with vaulted ceilings and very high exposure to particles/lint/smoke/pollen. The 311+ kept the air clean and breathable despite the city’s best efforts to pollute my air. I also kept this unit near the laundry and it pulled floating lint particles before they could become a problem. I have needed to clean the outer lint filter many times but I have yet to need replacing the HEPA filter – I bought an extra one anyway, and I think it should last about a year.

I ordered 311+max and this is completely misleading. This does not fit + max model size. It looks to be for the regular 311max.

I’m impressed – we didn’t have to replace the filter in this unit for 16 months! The only downside is I wish it was recyclable where we live, or that Blueair would take them back for recycling. Otherwise the unit and the filter have worked great for allergies and general cooking smells in our large open space in the house. Highly recommend!

I apparently didn’t pay enough attention or watch the video the first time I replaced the filter and I ended up thinking it was too tall, but I verified the model and it matched, so I made it work. I watched the video this time and this filter is definitely at least 2 inches too tall for my 311i Max, as you can see in the picture. Assuming the fan is strong enough, which it seems to be based on the dirty filter, and you don’t need the motor to attach to the base for safety reasons, this is probably a good thing. The pre-filter is just long enough to cover the filter, but the bottom covers the very bottom of the filter instead of reaching to the base. I can’t give it 5 stars, though, because it’s not the correct size for the product to be put together as it should be. The top is supposed to screw on and attach to the base, but it’s way too high up to reach when resting on this filter.
